I felt Poilievre's speech was a boondoggle. It was a separatist speech delivered in a context of Canadian unity but actions speak louder than one speech. Pierre has been a constant source of division and the seppies are his base. He gave the seppies the talking points they wanted with none of the background or data. For me, he should have just come out and spoke truthfully, he is a separatist and he has stoked that division for years! He has no substance and you can't win over anyone without substance but with it he would alienate his base. He is playing the same game Danielle Smith is, burning the candle at both ends, and in the end all he will get is burnt fingers.
Poilievre’s speech in Calgary fed and supported the separatists by blaming every problem he named on the federal government. So much for his claim to support Canada. With friends like him, we in Alberta do not need enemies!
