The pipeline is being split evenly, the difference the size of the populations covering the costs. Alberta has 5 million people, the rest of Canada is 35 million people. If 5 m people pay 50% and the other 50% is paid by the rest of Canada, 35 m people, you do the math!

You're making an important point - that being the cost/investment in production and if the companies are willing & able. Likewise, what's the estimate of product volume left to pump/harvest? What's the estimated likelihood of a continued and/or growing market for product? Always of interest is the profit margins for the O&G companies and what % becomes royalties for AB?
