More people are now recognizing the US as an empire, particularly now that over reach is starting to reveal itself. Also acknowledge the length and endurance of a civilizational mindset. China and India. Yet what about this amorphous shape we call Western civilization? Iran as a birth place ? Or Ancient Greece? It used to be called Christendom. What is there underneath the shifting shapes of nation states? Particularly where this western mindset meets indigenous peoples in the Americas.
I wonder about the notions of equality among peoples, the relative freedom of women and every soul as an expression of G*d
